Discretisation properties
Each Beam-On-Mound analysis considers the rectangular slab to act as a 1-dimensional beam. The beam is divided into finite segments to determine the bending moment and deflection, and iteratively determine the stiffness required to achieve the stated maximum deflection. If the program goes beyond the maximum number of iterations without converging on the desired level of accuracy, then the result is deemed impossible to reach.
